The purpose of this Blog is to give voice to those topics and materials that need more timely exposure than waiting for the webmaster to post them on the Ehpes Website. Also, it allows for members to do their own posting by themselves (or with help). You can post photos, music, short videos, links \u2013 almost anything, provided it has at least some connection to Jewish Bukovina: language customs, genealogy, history, folklore, etc. \u2014 in other words, our common heritage and pursuits.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what you have to do to post or leave a comment:<\/p>\n

1. You must be a member of the Czernowitz-L Discussion Group.<\/p>\n

2. You have to register. All you have to do is send an email to <admin@ehpes.com><\/strong>. In the subject line put: \u2018register\u2019; in the text put your log-in name (the name you wish be identified by when you post); you will then be sent a temporary password and confirmation of your registration. \u00a0So, I will need a working email address too. No-one will see this email address. If you don\u2019t give one, I\u2019ll use the one from the message you send. Once you receive your password, I suggest you log in with it and change your password to something you can remember.<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0You have to log in to post, \u00a0and because of spammers, you have to log in to leave a\u00a0comment on someone else\u2019s post. Once you\u2019re set up, you can post. Read the page \u2018How to make your first post\u2019. Your posts are NOT<\/strong> moderated, but please sign your name to them. Your email address is not necessary.<\/p>\n

Note that there is a difference between a \u2018comment\u2019 and a \u2018post\u2019. A comment adds information relating to an existing post and appears underneath. It does not start a new topic or thread. A post generally presents a new topic or a significant departure from existing posts. You have to be registered and logged in in order to create a new post or to leave a comment on an existing post.<\/p>\n

Logging in: Notice, when you\u2019re on the Home page of the Blog there is a \u2018sidebar\u2019 (menu). Right after the Archives, there\u2019s a section called \u2018Meta\u2019.\u00a0 One of the options is \u2018Log in\u2019. Click on that and you will see a screen will ask you for your log in name and password. Fill it in and click on \u2018Log in\u2019.<\/p>\n
