Dear Christian,
We all call ourselves by the first name, and so do I. It was exciting to
see photo no. 28, which shows the old and very
lovely synagogue, it was called a "Stibl" in Jiddish, from Stube, which
in German means room, or parlour. It is next
door to my grand-parents' house, the one on the left of the synagogue.
It look rough from the outside, but is very well-
kept on the inside, having been privatized and sold. Am happy they are
repairing the road at last, it had huge holes
and if was almost impossible to drive on it (by Western standards).
Best regards,
Gabriele
