Greetings Czernowitzers!

1. For those who have joined us recently, Czernowitz-L has a website at:
http://czernowitz.ehpes.com We welcome materials relating to Czernowitz
and Bukovina in general. Photos, histories, post cards, maps, stories,
etc. If you're new to the list, you might want to have the surnames
you're researching added to the 'Czernowitz Family Finder'. From the
menu on the left hand side of the home page, just click on it and you'll
see what it's all about.

2. Hardy Breier's Czernowitz Ghetto Power Point presentation that some
of you may have seen is now available on the website as an album of
photographs. Hardy has melded a number of his own photos with some he
harvested from the 'Gruss Aus Czernowitz' group. The album is in the
'Post WWII Czernowitz Photographs' section. If you're really lazy, click
on: http://czernowitz.ehpes.com/czernowitz6/ghetto/index.html

3. Speaking of the 'Gruss Aus Czernowitz' group, their site is at:
http://community.livejournal.com/gr_czernowitz A collection of very
interesting Czernowitz/Bukovina related photos and commentary that has
new pictures added daily.

4. I have, without shame, 'appropriated' over one hundred old post cards
and photos from the 'Gruss' site and other places, providing the start of
a second collection of old cards and photos that I collect from the net
without attribution. Go to 'Czernowitz Postcards' section and click on
'An album of....' Or, directly, click on
http://czernowitz.ehpes.com/czernowitz7/album/index.html
This album will be updated with new material as it becomes available;
the new material being placed at the start of the album.

5. In the 'Pre 1945 Czernowitz Photographs' section, another new album
has been added: 'Photographs from List Members'. Often times someone
will send one or two interesting photos that are not related to an
existing section of the website. So this is an album for these 'orphan'
pictures. Two Czernowitz group school photos from Ya'acov Katz (both
have been on the home page) and three new school photos from Marcel
Spiegler start this section rolling. If you've got any miscellaneous
photos that need a home, this would be the place for them. Just attach
them to an email (with a caption, if you have one) and send them along
to romers_at_shaw.ca . I will update this section as new material is
received. You can also send along any comments, corrections, criticisms
or complements about anything to do with the website.

6. I will be updating the 'Archives' (February/March posts) first week
in April.

That's it... A very joyous Pesach and thanks for not posting in HTML
