[Cz-L] Looking for information on the Reder family from Czernowitz

Hello,

I have been following the discussions and comments at the Czernowitz list
for a few years. It is indeed very informative and I learned many
wonderful insights on the life in Czernowitz, specially between the two
great wars.

My parents come from Czernowitz (Abraham (Bubi) Reder) and Kreindel
Friedman)).

They are no longer alive.

I do have a good idea on what happened with the family Friedman.

Unfortunately, I have been trying to get some information about my Reder
grand parents for many years but I have not been very successful.

I do understand that both my grand parents (Moses Reder and Toni Reder, born
Gelles) and their children, with the exception of Abraham, lost their lives
during the war.

I did not have too much luck on my simple research to get some records or
any other information. I am part to blame since I probably did not spend as
much time researching as I should. I also never traveled to Bukovina.

I believe that several members in this distribution list are actually from
Czernowitz (many others have parents or relatives that have lived in
Czernowitz or greater Czernowitz area, of course).

So, my request (favor, actually!!) is to see if any one of these people have
known or have information about the Reders.

Here is a little bit of information.

Moses and Toni and the family lived at Herrenstrasse, I believe (I may be
wrong on the name of the street); Moses was in the business of travel chest
or trunks, I believe.
The names of the children are Sara, Hencia, Rosa, Sami and Erna (and Bubi,
Abraham).

So, if you knew any of these persons or may know of someone that knew them,
