Dear friends,

I have received the following letter from Prof. Kalman Weiser, one of the
organizers of the Yiddish conference in commemoration of the Czernowitz
Yiddish conference of 1908:

> We are still determining the exact venue in Toronto but we expect the
> proceedings to be open the public. However, the nature of the conference will
> be purely academic. If you are interested, check in with me in a few months.

Most likely, I will not attend this conference, nor will I continue to
correspond with Prof. Weiser on this subject.

I just thought I would let you know, in case any of you hoped to combine a
visit to Czernowitz with this conference.
