thank you for the post. The subject still raises my curiousity. First of all: Yes I very much recommend to visit the cemetery in Lemberg, today's Lviv. A extraordinary place!
But: What makes you sure, the star in your image is a Magen David? Most likely it is a hexagram, as it was used by many of 19th century's religious and non-religious organizations, partly secret societies. Like the freemasons and others. For them the hexagram represented the plenatery spheres. Which much more fits to the moon in your image. And is no contradiction to the Christian cross.
