Please send me a copy of the Senate and House Foreign Relations=20
Committee
members' list and I'll be happy to e-mail them. At the very least these=
=20
communications will make the committee aware of what is going so they migh=
t=20
put pressure on Ukraine
to return private property unfairly seized by the former communist=20
administration to its rightful owners.

Re: Restitution of Cz property. As promised, I=E2=80=99ve started the ef=
fort by=20
identifying the powers in Canada and the U.S. which provide aid to the=20
Ukraine so as to confront them with the following:
1. Most former Communist states in Eastern Europe have instituted programs=
=20
which return in one way or another personal property, i.e. real estate,=20
confiscated by Communist administrations =E2=80=93 but the Ukraine has not=
.=20
2. The U.S. has given the Ukraine roughly $2 billion in the past decade=20
while Canada has contributed in the hundreds of millions.
3. There are many of us living in the U.S. and Canada who are not happy to=
=20
see our tax dollars going to the Ukraine while this country illegally=20
refuses to return our homes or compensate us. =20
The Canadian contact list will consist of the Prime Minister, Stephen=20
Harper; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, John Baird; and the Minister of=
=20
International Co-operation, Julian Fantino, who oversees CIDA, the Canadia=
n=20
International Development Agency.
The U.S. list is far bigger and more complex =E2=80=93 The U.S. Senate Com=
mittee=20
on Foreign Relations with 18 members plus the Subcommittee on European=20
Affairs; The U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs with 45 members and t=
he=20
United States Agency for International Development, (USAID)
In the next few days I=E2=80=99ll track down the email addresses of the va=
rious=20
members of the above which I will be happy to forward to any of you should=
=20
you want to also contact them.=20
Like we all agree, the chance for any results are very small, at least in=
=20
our lifetime. I'm thinking of also sending copies to the powers in the=20
Ukraine which might find them starting to worry about losing future aid wh=
ich,=20
in turn, might find them changing their attitude.
Keep your fingers crossed.
