I entirely agree with Mimi.
The horrible times our parents experienced and did what necessary to adapt =
to the moment and survive is incredible. I am in awe and forever gratefull.

I mainly want to say, that like Anny, I think that our parents
and their generation showed great resilience in the face of
danger, death and dislocation.

Whatever dictionaries may say about the scientific meaning
of the word "resilience", when used to describe the behavior
of people, it means the capacity to survive and endure
and at the same time hold on to your "Menschlichkeit" (humanity)
in the face of adversity and great difficulties.
