There is a documentary film that answers the question of why the allies did
not at first believe the reports coming out of occupied Europe and why they
they did not bomb Auschwitz. The title of the documentary is "America And
The Holocaust: Deceit and indifference.film. the film is part of the PBS
video American Experience seies. PBS no longer sells this title in either
VHS or DVD. However you can find both the VHS and DVD copies on Amazon.com
and Ebay. Also your public library may have a copy of the VHS or DVD that
you could take out on loan.

The basic fact is that the Allied politicians at first did not believe the
reports coming out of occupied Europe. But a major question does remain to
be answered...once they started understanding what was going on,why did
nobody order simple things like bombing the railway line into Auschwitz,like
sending Fighter-Bombers to attack the watchtowers etc etc.....as the British
sent a squadron of Mosquitos to blow the walls of a French prison to allow
French Resistance prisoners to escape????? Cornel
