Iris...

The post on "The Abeles - Weiner Family" on our ehpes.com Blog

http://ehpes.com/blog1/2013/02/26/the-abeles-weiner-family/

became possible by courtesy of Ruth Wekstein (Weiner), the youngest daughter of Alma Weiner (Abeles); see Cc for Ruth's mail address. I had a most interesting and pleasant contact with Ruth on Skype last Sunday and I'm looking very much forward to meeting Ruth during her upcoming visit to Düsseldorf in July 2013. Please feel free, Iris, to get in touch with Ruth directly.

BTW, Hedwig: Burschi is still living, together with his wife, in Düsseldorf.

BTW, Alfred: Ruth mentioned, that you might be distantly related. Who knows, that's perhaps the link, Iris is looking for?!

BTW, Czernowitzers: Leon Abeles, Ruth's grandfather, was one of the most prominent business men from Czernowitz, owner of the "supermarket" as mentioned by Hedwig and in the 1930s Honorary President of the Trade Council for the Czernowitz Chamber of Commerce.

Good "hunting" for genealogical and historical traces!
