I am not sure if I understand well the discussion. While it is true that Transnistria has not received the same attention in the historiography of the Holocaust as Poland and the rest of Europe, and that there has been talk of a "black hole", they are still thousands and thousands of archival documents. In Yad Vashem too, there are thousands of documents and testimonies about Transnistria. It's true that you need to know where and how to search and, also, to read Hebrew.
I would like also to remind an international symposium on Transnistria, which I organized in 2007 in Jerusalem, and where were gathered most of the greater scholars on the issue. The main contributions were collected in 2011 in a volume of the Revue d'histoire de la Shoah, "The horror forgotten: Romanian Holocaust." The volume is in French, nobody's perfect!
