two Soviet-made planes were called "kukuruzniks" - U-2/Po-2
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polikarpov_Po-2) and An-2
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-2). An-24 was never called
that.
