Thank you very much Edgar for the article of the inauguration of the
 Jewish hospital at the Ham.
Many speeches many names also Cornel's father, I think.
Speeches ,Anthem. A fine hospital was founded.
For me this hospital had a special significance.
Non - medical but life- saving anyhow:
During the Ghetto we found refuge in this hospital
    and thus escaped Transnistria.
        Hardy Breier cu familia.
Dus Jidische Spitul - much, much more than a hospital.
Hardy

"King Ferdinand I"

Czernowitzers...

The inauguration of the new building for the Jewish Hospital "King Ferdinand
I" took place on March 3rd, 1935 and the Czernowitz newspaper "Der Tag" is
reporting on it, as we learn from its "today's" edition, i. e.
05.03.1935/2013, page 3,

http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.de/

which I uploaded to our ehpes.com Blog

http://ehpes.com/blog1/2013/03/05/jewish-hospital-king-ferdinand-i/

excerpting for you the personalities, who attended the inauguration ceremony
and/or made the new building possible. I'm quite sure that you will discover
many familiar names or even some of your relatives among the participants,
such as Joseph Schmidt as one of the main sponsors, etc.

The new building is located on a parcel of land donated by the
Philanthropist Markus Zucker as early as 1850. The construction started in
the year 1932 under the direction of the architects Maurüber and Rothleber,
at an total expense of two million Romanian Lei.

Join me please for the inauguration ceremony!
