This is a photo of the teaching staff of the Chernovitzkoe Muzikalnoe
Uchilische (The State Music College of Chernovtsy).

Out of the 25 staff members 12 are Jewish. When I was a student there in the
1970-1974 about half of the staff and about 70% of the students were Jewish.
Another vanished world....

My beloved piano teacher (and, as I found out, Hanna's teacher too!), Joseph
Elgisser, is the first one on the left in the second row.

Thank you for posting his photos. Yes, it's him!
