I am ecstatic. You're right - it wasn't a cakewalk; it was more like a
marathon.
But it was worth the hour I spent hunting for the name of my dear father,
Charles
Wolf Steinhauser, which I found in Klasse II, Abt. B on page 82
(1900-1913). And as a bonus, in the same class I found the name of Dad's first
cousin and best friend, Hermann Saltzmann. Although my father and his family
had left Cz for New York in 1908 when he was 11, Dad never forgot terrific
education he had received at the Cz. gymnasium.
Incidentally, I wanted to copy that paragraph to send to my sister and
brother, but it won't copy. Is there a reason for that?
