Hi Mimi, you beat me Knock out with your "cathegoric imperatif" about
Galicia...Galicia and Bukowina were part of Autro-Hungary,they had another
"Status" as Basarabia, how can you put in the same pot, Bukowina,
Maramuresh, Basarabia???Cornel is right....
And very many Jewish emigrants came from the near Galicia to Bukowina...So,
I born in Cz., my mother too, am not a "pure sang" Czernowitzer, because I
had a grandmother from Leipzig and grand-grandparents form Kolomea?

I found a good account of the history of Bukowina after being annexed
by Austria-Hungary, including the reasons for the administrative
association
with Galizia and the later separation from Galizia and the creation
of the Kronland Bukowina.

This account is written in German and I do not have time to translate
it.

that one of you will translate it for the list.
