Addendum to Dow Friedman's Family Album
Top Left - Three sisters: Rachilia Lupu; Mania Engler; Genia Friedman. All nee Kuperman
Top Right and just below it - Aunt Mania and Genia in Rio
Bottom left - Jewish Cemetery in Vila Rosali in Rio's suburb. In the rear, my family at the grave of uncle Moisei Kuperman (oldest brother). In front, the Matzeiva to be unveiled of my Aunt Mania. This was an unpredictable case. Mania lived in Manhattan, USA. My mother had serious heart problems and lived at her apartment (not far from mine) alone. When she returned from hospital, Mania came to stay with her and they lived for some time waiting for my mother to recover. Mania had also heart problems but not so severe. One day she started to feel bad. The ambulance came. My cardiologist was already there. Unfortunately she passed away with the assistance at hand. Imagine the situation with my mother but she lived some more years.
