[Cz-L] Reunion 2007.

Dear Czernowitzers,
Re the next reunion in Israel.

As someone who originated the idea of a reunion for last year in 2005
and then it unceremoniously ended up in someone else's hands, leaving me
unable to attend,- I did not create a fuss. If this was what was wanted
and it suited everyone else, so be it and I missed out. I was happy to
meet up with Cornell Fleming in Vienna afterwards though, who filled me
in a little about what went on there.

I shall miss out this time as well, because travel to Israel from
Australia is not that easy, nor so cheap and at a time which suits
everyone else, but not me. There are plenty of Bukowiners in Israel,
including some on this list and so it is up to them to organize it when
it suits the Israelis, not the foreigners.

I do hope to be able to visit Bukowina in 2008 and I hope that there
will be others who will also be there at the same time so that we can
meet. As I don't have any personal memories or ties to Czernowitz
proper, I don't have the same feelings as some of you on the list, but
it is no use being angry with those who are trying their best to
accommodate the majority's wishes re the reunion.
