Boiberik is also mentioned in Shalom Aleichem's stories.
I have not had time to check, whether I was right about Yedinitz being an
uppity place, particularly as compared to Kasrelivke.
Anyone knowledgeable about this?
Also: are either Yedinitz or Boiberik, the creations of Shalom Aleichem?
Or were they part of Yiddish folklore and used by Shalom Aleichem?

So much for my thinking that they were Czernowitz creations!

And here a story about Czernowitz knowledge of Yiddish, or the lack of it:

I remember going for a walk with my father in the spring of 1941, just
before the war. At one point, a man came towards us, whom my father knew,
but I did not. My father stopped and said: Shulem Aleichem.
With great excitement, I started tugging at my father's trousers and when he
bent towards me to find out what I wanted, I said: Ist das Shulem Aleichem?
(Is that Shalom Aleichem?).
