Dear Friends:

A few weeks ago, I wrote about the Jewish birth, marriage and death
records for Czernowitz and Sadagora now available v ia microfilm from
the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. About 3 weeks
ago, I ordered six different microfilms via a Family History Center
about 20 minutes away. Sorry to report that I've been told all six
films are back-ordered, with no scheduled delivery date. Will keep
you all posted!

Meanwhile, I've discovered a new set of records now listed in the
Family History Library Catalog:

"Public Records, 1780-1937."
Jewish civil documents for Czernowitz, Bukowina, Austria
Chernivtsi State Archive: Fond 325, opis 1.
On 105 microfilm reels, 35 mm.
"This is a preliminary description to allow immediate microfilm access."

For a direct link to the catalog listing, see:

and click on "View Film Notes", upper right, for more information.

If anyone views these films, I hope they will report back on their contents.

Best wishes,

Bruce
