What a nice surprise to read about Asya Vaisman's upcoming
performance -- Thursday evening, May 17, in New York City.
I have been corresponding with Asya about her presentation
last summer
"Sidi Tal and Yiddish Culture in Czernowitz in the 1940s-1980s"
at a conference in Moscow. She kindly shared her nine-page
paper (in English) and gave permission for it to be posted on
the Czernowitz website, http://czernowitz.ehpes.com/. Watch
for news from Jerome.
