[Cz-L] Synagogue to be repaired

Dear All,

I have received a letter from Dr. Bursuk from Hesed Shushana in Chernivtsi.
Among other things, he explains the projected repair of the synagogue
on the Nikolausgasse, Strada Sfantul Nicolae, which starts from the
Russische Gasse going NE. On the !941 Stadtplan it is at the meeting point
of quadrants Ef, Ff, Fe and Ee and straight due east of the Ringplatz.

This from Dr. Bursuk's letter:

> As you remember, there is one usable synagogue in our city. It satisfies
> the needs of religious Jews. The question of returning big synagogue (Tempel)
> has not been raised. There is no necessity for it. But there has arrived the
> second rabbi, from HABAD, Menahem Glitsinshtein. He wishes to have the
> synagogue, and the administration of the city has allocated to him one of the
> former synagogues. I send you its photo with article from the city newspaper.
