Dear Christian,
thank you very much for the higher resolution image (I actually wanted
to ask you if you have one) and for the other photos as well.
I still think it is possible that we see a trace of a cross-shaped
fixture to hold a decoration like a bas-relief or a coat of arm. Here
is a couple of examples of what I mean from other cemeteries (in both
cases there is an attachement inside the wreath):
