Serah...you do not have to fly in ancient planes.Carpatair have shiny and
well-serviced aircraft and there is no need to go via Kiev.And I do not
understand why the journey is "dangerous".None of my Czernowitz friends miss
the Soviets..I would be interested to hear why some of your contacts miss
them! The possibility of an excursion to the Siberian winter wonderland
would be quite sufficient to turn me off!! Cornel

Yes, there are a few Jews there. Unfortunately, my aunt and my cousin still
live there. They miss the Soviet times. Many people miss them too.

It's just a very sad place. And still a beautiful place too.

Yes, I would like to visit my relatives' grave more often but the journey
there is too uncomfortable, not to mention too dangerous.

Do you know that they lock the airport's gates with a big, rusty lock every
night? Have you seen their ancient planes about to fall apart? I played the
Russian Roulette and took one to Kiev. I am not looking forward to my next
trip.
