That's the kind of reason why I kept the tenants of my Olomouc house on their 'municipality ridiculous low rent'. When people have left, I've let the former municipal rent-collector (who still uses the garage; quite a severe elderly woman) set a more 'market' rent. None of the tenants have objected to the Poláks' being Jewish, however. Maybe they would in western Ukraine? I don't know.

Very many of these friendly well educated not antisemitic people
in the Czernowitz live in these Jewish- owned houses paying to
the municipality ridiculous low rent.
  Would they object getting out or paying tenfold rent with
money they do not have?
  Or being evicted by the Jewish landlord ?
   What would their sentiment towards Jews be then?
