Dear Iosif,

Thank you for verifying the number of old time Jews
(Those who spoke German), who remained in Czernowitz
after 1946.
The initial confusion arose from the fact that I considered
only the former Czernowitz city residents and you considered
the Jewish residents of the whole "Chernovtsy oblast",
a political division, which came into being only after 1944.
