I just listened to him speaking on NPR and he is brilliant. He knows his topic well and it is a sin what the US State Dept did with knowledge they had early on in the 40's. If they had acted and not suppressed clear evidence of the atrocities, they would have been able to save thousands of lives. The problem was an elitist group of people in the higher offices that had their own agendas relative to the Jewish question. If his book is half as good as his presentation of information, it must be amazing!

Please be aware that Gregory Wallance who authored America's Soul in the Balance will be speaking in NYC at the Museum of Tolerance on Feb 21 at 7 pm. His book dealing with  the U.S. state department's knowledge of and suppression of Transistria was well written. I suspect many of us will want to learn more about his insights. I am hoping to be there. Unfortunately I do not think my mother who was the sole survivor in her family of Bershad could bear the program. However I hope to get my dad to attend. It might be a good place for many of us to assemble
