I fully agree with Christian, it is not easy to be a moderator, =20
particularly
to such a big and active list as ours. Bruce and Jerome spend a lot =20
of time
keeping this list going and if and when, they reject a message
because they think it is offensive, or outside the boundaries of our =20
subject,
they do so, with good intention.

Most of us, occasionally write messages which may seem offensive to some
and not offensive to others. The moderators are not our elected =20
officials,
nor our paid employees. Therefore we cannot dictate to them what is =20
offensive
and what is not. I am very grateful to Bruce and Jerome for keeping =20
this list going
and hope that all current members will stay on the list.

It may also be advisable that all of us make an effort not to insult =20
any member
of the list and limit our messages to information exchange on the =20
subject
of Czernowitz and Sadagora Jewish History and Genealogy.
About other topics which occasionally come up and interest us, we can =20
write directly
to individual members of the list, who have shown an interest in =20
these topics.

This list has now been in existence for over 12 years,
the number of members has kept on growing, obviously we like being =20
part of it.
Let's not break it up, nor disregard all the work which Bruce and Jerome
have invested in the list and the website.
