Dear Hardy, Dear all...

I fully agree with Christian, sentence by sentence, word by word, both, concerning the most sensitive moderation by Bruce and Jerome AND Hardy's outstanding contributions to our group, but in addition I argue in support of returning to the main scope of our discussion group: Genealogy and history of the Jewish community in the Czernowitz and Sadagora area!

Considering myself as a main contributor to the List, I'm very doubtful that the silent majority of our group will be amused and/or motivated by such a persisitent thread, going round in circles and reminding me of bygone (kindergarten) times. Moderation is not censorship, but a conditio sine qua non for a discussion group of more than 400 members.

Tens of thousands mails at our archives, a vast number of data bases, documents, stories, photos, testimonies, links, etc., more than 250 posts at our ehpes.com Blog, that's the COLLECTIVE MEMORY our group stands for and nothing else matters.

Warmest wishes to all of you!

As somebody who has to take care about websites day by day at my job, I know what I'm talking about. I also know how difficult decissions sometimes are. This has nothing to do with censorship or "political correctness", but with a balance between freedom of speech and rights of people who could feel insulted.

Sometimes I agree with you, sometimes not - very normal among friends. I appriciate your posts, as well as I appreciate your friendship. So go on!
