I am usually not writing often, but at this occasion I would like my voice
to be also heard
Hi
I remember a Czernowitzer aphorism: Er is broigiz mit dem Chazen springt er
nischt bei der Kedishe. The translation would be: He is angry with the
cantor [and therefore] he does not jump at the [prayer] of the Kedishe
[recited by the cantor in high voice, in which the word kadosh (holy) is
repeated 3 times, and at each time the cantor recites it, the congregation
slightly jumps.] I am apologizing if I hurt somebody=E2=80=99s feeling by
explaining it, as if he would not know what it is about, but I wanted
everybody to understand the point and the motive for telling this aphorism.
It was compiled and is understood to criticize the person who is angry with
somebody who has a leading position, and therefore does not perform his
obligations to God or to society in which this person is involved.
My short mail is directed to Hardy with the addition of a later Jewish
maxim: =D7=95=D7=94=D7=9E=D7=91=D7=99=D7=9F =D7=99=D7=91=D7=99=D7=9F=E2=80=
=9Dthe one who understands, will understand=E2=80=9D
