Dear Hedwig,

Did you know Dr E. Flohr and his wife, Frima?

The photos on blog of a pre-war Cz evoked memoriesof my uncle's apartment
on Ukrainskaya street. The reality of a much better life still lingered
there, well into the Soviet time. I lived in that apartment for some time as
a child and even had my chuppa there.

It was the most beautiful apartment I've ever seen. Four large bedrooms, a
stately living room, rooms for maids, huge balconies and a spacious bathroom
with the original settee. I hope Hardy can help with the street's original
name.

I am wondering if people have photos of those gorgeous Czernowitz
apartments.
