[Cz-L] World War One - Stories and Ancedotes

The writer is a retired lawyer and current M.A. (History) student at the =
University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George, B.C. (see =
http://www.unbc.ca). My own family comes from Radultz. I am currently =
doing a research paper on the effects of World War One on Bukovina and =
Chernowitz, stressing the pre-war harmonious relationships between the =
various ethnicities and the destruction of that harmony (as I see it) as =
a result of the War. I am most interested in gathering thoughts or =
anecdotes of Chernowitz prior to, during and immediately after World War =
One.

If you have any stories passed down in families from pre-WW1 or the days =
of the War and the Romanian arrival, I would be very happy to receive =
them to add some personal tales tales to the dryer academic material. =
If you do have such family treasures and are willing to share them, =
please forward them to me at arune_at_unbc.ca. Stories about cooperation =
between the Jewish population and others would be especially favoured =96 =
like the laying of the cornerstones by Jewish and Orthodox religious =
leaders. Also stories of Russian and Romanian occupation.
