[Cz-L] ASF Germany

Dear All,

ASF will this year, just like in the previous three years, again have
a work-camp to clear the Cz. Jewish cemetery of weedy vegetation.
They have also asked me whether there are small Jewish cemeteries
in the vicinity of Czernowitz which need clearing.
It is not likely that they will have the people or the money to work
on another cemetery this year, but they like to plan for the next few
years.

In my opinion it is important to try to maintain the cemeteries,
which no other
organization or group is currently, or has recently, been working on.
It should also be located close enough to Czernowitz, so that
transportation
does not become a problem.

I therefore thought to recommend to ASF that they consider
the Jewish cemeteries in Sniyatin, Storozhinetz, Banilla and Stanesti
de Jos.

These cemeteries have as yet not been built over or completely
vandalized,
and no organization, to my knowledge, is taking care of them.

If you know more about these cemeteries, or others, which are no further
from Czernowitz and also require work, please write me.
