Dear Mimi,
Thank you for that information. My grandmother, Frida Segal was born in
Mihaileni, lived in Dorohoi and then, married my grandfather, Max Kraft,
from Hlyboka/Adankata. It's just that I saw Mihaileni once included in a
post about Jewish cemeteries in Bukiwina.
Have you finished translating the article about Zastawna? In the mean time I
had a lengthy "interview" with my aunt, Frimelika and I am thinking to write
a paragraph about the Soviet take-over. I would like to speak to more people
who have living experiences of the Russian invasion as my aunt was only 10
years old at that time and her memory is failing.
I am hoping that the Ephes web-site will have a "Vanished Worlds" page of
it's own dedicated to the Jewish communities of the small towns and villages
of Bukovina.
Serah Kraft
