Re: [Cz-L] Old map

The 1830 map does show the Klokuczka Bach (Klokuczka Brook) clearly.
Even though the suburbs of Rosch and Manasteriska, through which
this brook ran, are not marked, we could superimpose this map
on a similar size satellite map and figure out which street is which.
It is told that Ober-Rabiner Igel together with Metropolitan Hacman,
drew up the city plan for Czernowitz, this plan should be somewhere
in the archives of Czernowitz.
Rabbi Igel came to Czernowitz in 1854, therefore they probably drew
the plan around 1860.
