Genia Friedman
Mutti
Moisei and Frank, the oldest and the youngest brothers. Genia in the midle. My mother, I allways called her, Mutti, was a special person:  optimistic, good hearted and joyful.
Starting from the deportation (see Transnistria) , When liberated she organized a groupe to walk back to Czernowitz. In Ploiesti we had a neighbour called Trumer, also a surviver. At the time the president of the USA wass  Truman. My mother wrote a letter to the president of the USA, in the name of Mr. Trumer, explaining the situation and asking a visa. After a litle time a black car from the embassy with two man came to look for Mr Trumer. We do not know the end of the story because we mooved to Bucarest. In Israel she wrote to Stalin to free oncle Meshulim and his wife Shifre. Stalin died so she wrote to the next one and finaly succeded to free him (she died). Emigrated to Israel were he lived his last years. The "adoption " of uncle Meshulim by Lucca's grandfather was completely unnown for us in Rio de Janeiro.
