While we are on the topic of notable Czernowitzers:

It's interesting that one of the earliest tango empresarios in Argentina wa=

from Czernowitz - Max (Mordecai David) Glücksmann. In 1917 his studio
recorded Carlos Gardel with the first tango ever sung commercially. He was
also one of the pioneers of Argentine cinema.

Czernowitzer John Eberson was an architect who built more than 100 movie
palaces in their heyday, including the Majestic Theatre of recent film fame=
.
