Czernowitzers... Lucca Ginsberg sent this message to me and to the
list this morning, but it never made it to the list for some reason
(no subject perhaps?). Anyway, here it is:

Dear Jerome,
I just read through Mr. Schreiber's memoir, and it seemed to me that I
am reading my own story - although my family somehow escaped
Transnistria.
The couple which he mentions who staged the show, were good friends of
my parents, their name was Hacken, Dr. Hacken, first a pediatrician,
later a psychiatrist, his wife, Vera, was ver talented, wrote poems
and songs and even some books, which I could never lay my hands on.
I think that the hotel which was this family's home was the hotel
"Bristol", if Mr Schreiber would mention the name of the restaurant,
it probably would be familiar to me too.
In any case, reading his story was very emotional for me
because...although it is his story - I lived it!
All the best, and thank you for publishing this,
Lucca
