[Cz-L] Very first post

Dear People:

My name is Carol De Poy and I live in Tucson, AZ. My Grandmother lived in
Czernowitz from 1898 to 1920. I have several journals that belonged to my
Grandmother. She was born outside of Czernovitz, Bukovina in 1898. She
grew up there and didn't leave until 1920. She was there during the whole
first war. During this time she kept these journals that were actually
written by the various soldiers that would pass their farm. They are
written in at least three different languages, mostly Polish & Czech. I
also have a collection of pictures of the soldiers. I have over 100
pictures from the war not to mention all the pictures I have of friends and
relatives from her time there. There is one thing, she was not Jewish. She
was a Roman Catholic Pole. I'm not sure if people on this list would still
be interested. I would love to have some feedback. I can e-mail some
examples of the journals to anyone that is interested. My ultimate goal is
to get these translated into English so everyone can enjoy them.
