Hi Jerome,
Thanks for the the document, to you, to Peter and Edgar, for their research,
I read it, put on the end some comments and than he answered that was error,
I put my e-mail-adress, like it is... in any case, "Vive Ehpes Czernowitz
and the masters"
Ehpes is already a very important research source for many people, not only
for the Jewish descendants, also for Christian researcher about Czernowitz
and the Bukowina...
Have a nice week
Hedwig

Edgar, Peter and all that worked to make these documents and background
materials available; THANK YOU ALL! History has come alive here and
been made available to all...

Certainly, you have nailed the operative word 'alleged' in the response,
which speaks volumes about the politics in play in that day. That said,
it is of interest (to me at least) that they straight-up said that they
would not be taking any action.

Today, of course, it would be worded '...we will take your comments and
concerns under advisement' (and still do nothing). Maybe it's the
'linguistics of colonial times, but I come away thinking that more
honesty prevailed in earlier days.

Again, most interesting!
jerome
