Dear Hardy
I second Shlomo (couldn't have said it better myself).
I did grow up in this beautiful city and have all the mixed feelings about
life there as most of the post-WWII generation, who loved it, but couldn't wait to get out - first to college and then to Israel.
Your posts, always informative, mixed with the "one and only" Czernowitzer/Galicianer humor, brought back to life the real flavor of Czernowitz. Not to mention your literary talent.
You are not a jester. You are the rare spice, that makes a "balabotish " dish Gourmet.
