My paternal grandfather was Moses Reifer, but he died in 1932,
so his body has been at the cemetery only 81 years.
The volunteers actually dress very modestly, you need long sleeves
and long pants to protect yourself from thorns and burning nettles.
Most of the volunteers are over 60 years old, quite a number
are over 70. Therefore they are not interested in being immodest.
I probably will be there during the ASF work-camp. Following the advice
of one of the ASF volunteers, who researched this method,
we will attempt to bore a hole, or make a vertical cut into every stump,
and brush herbicide into the hole or vertical cut.
This work is very time consuming and we will need as many hands
as possible.
Any volunteers to join me?
Just for a few days between Sept. 26 and Oct.10.
Erev Rosh Ha-Shanah is on Oct. 4th, so come early, on Sept 26, 27
and atonefor all your sins before Yom Kippur.
