It is a little over 600 miles from Czernowitz to the concentration camp, Bu=
chenwald. =A0I don't know if any Czernowitzers ended up in Buchenwald. =A0O=
ur victims mostly ended up in Transnistria. =A0An uncle of mine from Transy=
lvania died at Auschwitz. =A0Rabbi Hershel Schacter has died at 95. =A0He w=
as a U.S. Army chaplain with the troops when they liberated Buchenwald righ=
t after Passover. =A0The NY Times today has a fine piece on him. It is impo=
