[Cz-L] I don't agree

Sorry, with all due respect for their great contributions to the list, but
I don't agree at all with Christian or with Edgar. This list has always
dealt mainly with the issues that they mention, but here and there,
thankfully, it has widened its scope to CZ oriented matters that may not
exactly be of interest to them personally or perhaps to their personal
taste. And yes they may generate emotions and sharp exchanges. All the more
reason to follow the list.
In fact, these subjects usually attract the most attention and response
from list members, including the silent majority. This is the uniqueness of
the dialogue here. There are many other sites and forums for pure genealogy
if that is all that one wants. As for this special flavorful and spicy give
and take, if someone is not interested in one or other thread or finds it
not to his or her taste they are free to fast forward.
Again, we are not children who need guidance. The moderator's intervention
is acceptable only in rare egregious cases and we don't need protection
from our fellow CZ'ers. My late mother who ties me to Czernowitz had that
spicy character that I find in Hardy too. Let the people express
themselves. We will always find our way back to the central subjects.
And having said that, Hardy must definitely remain a central pillar of this
list.
